This site is a constant work in progress, and I will try to keep it up to date, along with managing two kids, 9 cats, and a small hobby farm.

Our Story-

The Birth of Fourfeathers

Why Fourfeathers? When we moved here to NY I had just left the only role I had ever known(a registered nurse) to become a stay at home mom. My goal was to raise my babies along side me while we tended our small farm, and learned to live sustainably on one income. The name Fourfeathers has so many personal meanings, but the one that matters is that there are four of us and together we are Fourfeathers of Hampton.  My two girls, my husband, and myself.  This is a family business. Although it was my personal endeavor, my girls and my husband have made sacrifices along side me to maintain what is "Fourfeathers."  

 

  Four Feathers Farm was created out of my lifetime desire of living self sustainably, growing my own food and being a "farmer". In addition to our small  Maine Coon Cattery I have a small greenhouse and sell cut flowers and produce from our small farm stand.

Our current breeding females are from European imported lines.  We are a closed cattery meaning our cats do not come into contact with other cats outside of the home. They are all negative for Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and have had genetic testing for the most common genetic issues in Maine Coons through Geneseek Laboratories.

Our goal with Fourfeathers is to breed Maine Coon Cats true to CFA standard, with a focus on producing family friendly pets. When you purchase a cat from our cattery, our aim is that you have the best experience possible, and you too find yourself in love with the Maine Coon breed.
