Kitten Information

We have partnered with Trupanion! Because of this, your pet is eligible to have a Trupanion policy that will provide immediate medical coverage. This limited-time offer provides you with 90% coverage with no payout limits so you can have peace of mind knowing that your pet will be protected in case anything unexpected occurs. The best part – your pet’s current health status is locked in from day one! This means if any unexpected accidents or injuries occur after activation, you’re covered! All it takes is a quick call to activate from the day you gave your deposit up until the day after you bring your new pet home! You have 24 hours to activate this offer.

All kittens will be brought to the vet for a health check around 6 weeks. At this appointment they get routine wormer and distemper vaccines. They will get health certificates which are required by the state before going to their new homes. If the vet finds anything out of the ordinary it will be listed on the certificate of health. You should plan to bring your kitten to the vet shortly after you receive them. You may need to schedule this appointment before obtaining your kitten to reserve a timely appointment.

All kittens will be microchipped. I use AKC and pay for a lifetime membership for each kitten, so by the time they leave here you will have already setup your profile and can be identified if your kitten is lost or stolen. I will supply buyers with the microchip labels. Please supply your vet with one for their record.

All kittens will have nails trimmed and be bathed prior to leaving. This will be done within a week of leaving but not the day before as I do not want to stress kittens prior to them leaving. Cats are very self sufficient with hygiene. Most people never need to bath their cats.

I will not send kittens home if they have loose stools, so if you see loose stools or diarrhea please monitor your kitten. Stress can cause some change in bowel pattern, but if it persists or you see a change in the kittens affect please contact your vet and contact us.

Please do not start them on any new foods for the first few days. I will supply enough food for several days, after the first two days have passed slowly start adding the food you intend to use into their diet. A full transition should take 7-10 days.

Kittens are babies. Please baby proof your house before bringing them home. Electrical cords will be chewed on. small debris, strings, bottle tops can all pose as choking hazards. If you wouldn't trust a young child with it, do not trust a kitten with it. Foam balls and other foam objects should never be allowed with kittens.

Disclaimer- these are guidelines and tips. Please familiarize yourself with both kitten needs and Maine Coon Cats on general before contacting us to purchase one of our kittens.
